C003 - Flowers II 2024

This collection is titled Flowers II and represents an ongoing exploration of the shapes and volumes of various flowers beyond their usual role in ornamen- tation. Past the everyday-ness of flowers, they also embody our views and understanding of the natural world, wilderness and vegetation at large. A central theme of the collection is the alienation we feel towards the „natural world“ simulated by the hyper realism of the images on our screens. The organza with its transparent quality that we used for the looks references characteristics of the digital age, the idea of avatars or digital fashion that may be projected directly onto the body without ever becoming physical.

The work got featured in nasty Magazine in May 2024.
