Decadence, positions on fashion photography
will be at tête gallery in Berlin next weekend showcasing the latest collection and work from the collaboration with photography artist Patricia Moroșan.
December 18 and 19, the last weekend before Christmas, des FILLES désir will present its debut womenswear collection Decadence along fashion photography from photography artist Patricia Moroșan, exploring the ideas of self reflection and excess at the shared gallery space tête on Schönhauser Allee 161 A in Berlin.
tête is a timeshare project space in Berlin run by a changing group of 10 international artists since 2012. A great diversity of exhibitions, concerts and workshops take place there, sometimes resulting in opposing curatorial formulas.
The mini-exhibition treats themes of decadence as a self assumed excess that might lead to a Dionysian kind of freedom. Opposed to the term's negative connotations, the work looks at our way of living among rapid changes regarding our ecosystem, fast technological development and societal shifts. While questioning one's own excess, new insights may arise.
